After more than 20 years of experience as a fiduciary and wealth planning expert, working in corporate settings, Principal and Chief Visionary Officer for MAIF, Erin E. Markham, recognized the need for independent and bespoke fiduciary offerings, using the advantageous statutes provided by the State of Delaware. In 2026, Erin launched Markham Advisory & Independent Fiduciary Services to bridge the gap between individual fiduciary appointment needs and the constraints of institutional trust companies. Prior to transitioning to her independent role, Erin held senior fiduciary strategist and leadership positions with The Goldman Sachs Trust Company, Chilton Trust Company, Comerica Bank & Trust NA and Wilmington Trust Company.
Erin is widely recognized within the trust and estates industry for her leadership and professional involvement and volunteer commitments. She currently serves on several industry committees and previously held leadership roles with the Estate Planning Council of Delaware and the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. She holds the Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation from the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

ERIN AT HOME
Erin grew up and currently resides in Arden, DE, an intentional, self-governed artist community, dedicated to land preservation and Utopian philosophies. She is deeply involved in the arts, music and community activism. She spends her free time with her partner, Hayes, and their furbaby, Annika; a needy and affectionate German Shephard. Erin is an avid cook, with a genuine love for food creativity and culinary experiences. She and Hayes enjoy international travels to unique lands, but can also often be found around local waters and with fishing rods in hand.
Erin is the proud mother of one son, Tyler (25), and three 'bonus children'; Jack (22), Brooke (20) and Hayden (11).
